Procesión del Señor de Los Milagros

A tradition I was born into and I have come to know.

As a Hispanic, specifically Peruvian and a Catholic, every October, a procession will take place. A mass will be held, an altar would be carried on the streets as believers follow closely behind smelling incense and hearing music being played. As a child, I followed along. My rewards for attending were obtaining Peruvian sweets. As an adult, it became a pilgrimage and I still obtain Peruvian sweets. It renewed my spirits as I found myself closer to my religion and my culture.
